This is the story of Madonna, who is a famous American singer. She was born to Silvio Ciccone and Madonna Louise. When she was young, she used to work in her father’s vegetable garden. At the age of five, she lost her mother who died of breast cancer. After few years, her father was married to the family housekeeper. She never loved Madonna like her real mother. Madonna had to finish the household tasks like washing the dishes, taking care of the babies etc. She was not allowed to watch T.V. Madonna was fond of dancing from a young age and she also won a dance scholarship for the University Of Michigan.
In the year 1977, when she moved to New York to start her career in dancing, she was short of money and had no links. She had very limited resources for surviving. During her struggling days, she used to go for searching jobs and she used to meet people who might help her in getting a job.Her maiden band was “The Breakfast CLUB” which she formed with Dan Gilroy. Later on, She formed her second band named “Emmy” with Stephen Bray. She caught the attention of many dance clubs with her stunning performances.
Later on, she signed a singles deal with Seymour Stein, who was the founder of Sire Records. Her maiden release was “Everybody” which was released in the year 1982. This track was at the third spot in the Billboard Hot Dance Club Chart which was followed up by “Burning Up”, the next year. The album, “Like A Virgin”, was Madonna’s first United States number one album. Such was her craze among the girls that they tried to copy her hairstyles and dresses. She sang many hit singles like “Crazy For You” which came in the year 1985. In the year 1986, she released “True Blue”. Madonna’s “Who’s That Girl?” World Tour was the most successful tour in the history of music. She sang “Die Another Day” for the James Bond movie, which was nominated for a ‘Best Original Song’ at the Grammys award.
Madonna has taught us a very important lesson that we should not lose hope in adverse situations and we should work hard towards moulding a tough situation in our favour.
